An Law Enforcement officer for over 13years, with a passion for protecting society and those around me, however I soon learnt what I had joined was a political and not so educated arrangement to protect each others job not protect from the criminals. Years on I learnt this job was not for me so with many attempts I finally removed myself from the NSW Government.
Today I use my Photography Art and Law enforcement to provide an in-site to my career and version of a sustainable achievement in protecting the community and to release the tension and stress of what a law enforcement officer goes through in the line of duty.
Suicide is common in Emergency services staff throughout the world, I in-fact have lost friends suffering in the job. In 2009 I lost a further close friend, so i decided to use my art in raising education and awareness along with funds for organisations such as Lifeline - Beyond Blue in the prevention and intervention of depression which often ends in suicide in Australia.
I continue to raise funds through my Art and Im also an advocate for youth support networks in QLDS & HOBART for suicide prevention. I will say whilst I enjoy Photography and this Male Art is my favourite collection, its because the subject is very close to my heart and a true recognition of a job that was mentally draining on me for years . ( I will never forget )
Please enjoy and understand why I do is Art of the male kind, but there is a seriousness to this job as well.
( No model represents officers of the law, nor does miss-use uniforms in anyway - but simply participates photography art with Ian Horncastle)
